Sausages, dark brown bread & lots of pickled stuff. Nuts and cheese to round things out. And apples of course. This is the kind of 17thC LARPing I'm in to. |

Apple wine from the German restaurant we went to after a hockey game |
Modern America sees wine as just a grape thing. But in the America (and the world) of the past - any
fermented fruit juice could be a "wine". In the 18th and 19th century the definitions are going to get even looser - sugar water with all sorts of flavorings (dandelion, cowslips, parsnips & of course pumpkins - it gets a little unhinged) are going to be wine. But for the moment, apple cider can also be apple wine. And if left too long, its just all vinegar.
